SEO friendly

Writing an article seems to be easy and interesting. But do you know that it need highly specialized skills to write a perfect article? To keep your reader interested, you should think about the structure of your copy and write appealing texts.

With the evolution of internet and search engines, you also need to consider SEO when writing for blogs. To Write SEO friendly articles has its own twist let alone writing in general.

To get the attraction of the readers towards your article, the best way is to provide headings, subheadings and clear paragraphs. We also share, like, tweet and link the articles which we like the best and understand. So we should make the readers to do those by making our post reader friendly. And it will increase your ranking too. So, if you want to improve your ranking in Google, you should definetly try to maximize your writing skills.

In this post I am going to give some tips on writing blog posts that are both very readable as well as SEO-friendly. I genuinely think those two goals should go hand in hand.

Here we go…..

  1. Think, then Write (Write SEO friendly).

First think what you are going to write. Select a topic which suitable for you to write. Have a knowledge on what you are writing.

  • Think hard about the message of your article.
  • What do you want to tell your readers?
  • Which central question do you want to ask?
  • What is the purpose of your text?
  • What do you want your reader to do at the end of the page?

These are main questions, which you need to find the answers first. Find the answers before you start writing.

  1. Is your content unique and original?

This doesn’t mean that you have to write something new or say something that no one said before. This means your text should not an exact copy from some other website online source.

Google is very intelligent and it can identify the duplicate post easily. So there is no reason for them to rank a webpage or website with copied content ( have an idea and write your own post)

What they need in their index is web pages that answers reader’s questions and the more unique web pages they have, the more are the chances to keep their users happy and come back again.

One of the very big mistake bloggers do is to copy content from a website, publish it in their own and then add a link back to the original source.

Even this is ethical, still your content is not unique.

Your content on your website is still duplicate and does not offer anything new to Google.

  1. Structure of the post is important.

Every post should have

  • An introduction : where you introduce your topic.
  • A body : where you write the main message
  • A conclusion : Where you summarize your article.

Write the contents under these 3 sections and now you have a kind of summary of your post. You can start to write now.

  1. Paragraphs and Headings.

Anyone can write a paragraph, but make sure it makes sense. Find the reason to make a new paragraph. Because every paragraph should have a main idea or main subject. Find the main idea of the paragraph and try to give it in only one sentence. More sentences, more paragraphs.

Headings increase the readability and it helps for SEO as well. Headings help Google to find the main topics of a long post and therefore it can help in ranking. Use subheadings for people to find their way in your articles. Make sure you use your keywords in some subheadings. (not in each and every one of them though, as it will make the text unreadable).

  1. Google likes long articles.

You should have at least 300 words. Even though Google likes long articles, if your make too long articles it will scare away users. So it is better to stop around 800-1000 words. Try to put your search terms in about 1 to 2 percent of your text.

  1. Use images and optimize them

Images are good for the user as they make the content less tiring and easier to read. They are also good for search engines since it is an additional way to understand more about a given page.

For that there are some practices:

  • optimize images size because you don’t want your images to slow down your website
  • Use images you have the necessary copyrights.
  • Use ALT attributes you can even use keywords.
  • Use meaningful image file names.

  1. make your post beautiful.

It is important when preparing your page to give some attention to detail and make it easier for users to scan through the text to find what they want.

Make the page look good by adding bold, italics, images, videos, small paragraphs etc.

This won’t directly help you to rank high in search results but but it can help in many other ways that can indirectly affect your ranking.( it will make you SEO friendly). This is a tip to write SEO  friendly.

  1. Don’t forget to interlink.

I am big fan of internal links and I always advice my clients to use internal linking in their articles/pages to create their own small webs withing their websites.

If you already wrote some content about the topic of your current post, don’t forget to link to these posts. It will make your post stronger because you show some authority on the subject.

  1. Let other people read your post.

It is a good thing to let someone read your post, before you publish it. Then you can find whether he understood the main idea of your post. Correct sentences that are not formulated correctly.
